  1. Fanny, if you were a superhero, what superpower would be most useful to you as Executive Assistant at the Hôtel Athena? 

Fanny: If I had to choose one superpower, it would definitely be invisibility. This would enable me to listen to all the comments and opinions of customers discreetly, which would be extremely useful in improving their satisfaction and surprising them in a positive way.

  1. What is your career path at the Hôtel Athena? 

Fanny: My career at the Hôtel Athena began in 2018 as a Receptionist. Over the years, I have risen through the ranks, becoming successively 1st Receptionist, Assistant Manager, and finally Assistant Manager from 1 March 2022.

  1. What are your main objectives as Assistant Manager at the Hôtel Athena? 

Fanny: My main objectives are focused on customer satisfaction, but I'm just as keen to ensure the satisfaction of our staff. I firmly believe that the well-being of our employees is essential, as this is directly reflected in the quality of their relationship with customers. It's a question of striking a balance between these two fundamental aspects.

  1. What are the biggest challenges you've faced in your career at Hôtel Athena? 

Fanny: The challenges at the Hôtel Athena are many, and that's what makes my job exciting. It's this variety that stimulates me and pushes me to give my best.

  1. What tips do you have for keeping the hotel team together and motivated? 

Fanny: First of all, I'm always ready to listen to our staff. We foster a pleasant working atmosphere and encourage open communication between the different departments. Trust is key, and we don't hesitate to resolve problems as soon as they arise. In addition, we have introduced a daily briefing at 9.30am, bringing together all the departments, where we plan the day ahead and encourage everyone to have their say on any subject.

  1. To conclude, what excites you most about the hotel industry?

Fanny: It's the opportunity to interact with a diverse and varied clientele. There's a richness of culture among both our customers and our staff. Every day is different, and it's this versatility that makes the hotel business so exciting.
